Melatony – Droga do REM

The title of the project and the album Melatony (the musical equivalent of melatonin, called the “sleep hormone”) by Hubert Zemler suggest that the author will not be too bothered if you conk off while listening.

He has to take this into account when creating dreamlike and hypnotizing music. If that happens to you, however, be sure to return to the album the next day to find out that you did not dream of the strange twists and turns. Despite the sleepy and brain-capturing climate, a lot is going on here. The woodpecker gets a little crazy. During the concert, Krautrockers move to the harem (colored). A group of a bit tipsy fellows play sort of calipso, but they doze off, and the instruments melt and flow out of their hands, revealing a strange metal from outer space under the wooden surface. In creating some of the drowsy sounds, Hubert is also accompanied by guests: Todd Barton (Buchla), Antonina Nowacka (voice) and Emiter (additional electronic layers).
